Cookies, Analytics and Similar Technologies

Satynmag.com may use cookies and similar technologies to support website functionality, remember preferences, understand website performance, analyse traffic, protect the website and improve user experience.

Some cookies may be set by third-party services used on the website, such as analytics, embedded media, advertising or social-media services. Those third parties may process information according to their own privacy policies.

Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential cookies or similar technologies, we aim to provide an appropriate choice or cookie-management mechanism.

Awards, Certification, Events and Other Programmes

Satynmag operates initiatives that may require additional information beyond ordinary website browsing. These may include the Women-Friendly Workplace Awards, workplace certification, events, surveys, workshops, nominations and professional programmes.

Confidential programme information. Information submitted for workplace assessment, certification or similar processes may contain sensitive commercial or workforce information. Satynmag will aim to limit access to people and service providers who reasonably require that information for the relevant process.
9

How We Share Information

Satynmag does not sell personal information to advertisers.

We may share personal information with trusted third parties where reasonably necessary to operate Satynmag and its services. These may include:

  • website hosting and infrastructure providers;
  • email and newsletter platforms;
  • analytics and website-performance providers;
  • IT, development, security and technical-support providers;

  • professional advisers, assessors, judges, consultants or contractors involved in an authorised programme;
  • auditors, legal advisers or other professional service providers; and
  • government, regulatory, law-enforcement or judicial authorities where disclosure is legally required.

We expect service providers handling personal information on our behalf to use that information only for authorised purposes and subject to appropriate confidentiality, security and contractual requirements where applicable.

10

International Processing and Transfers

Satynmag may use technology providers, cloud infrastructure or service providers located outside Sri Lanka. As a result, personal information may be processed or stored in another country.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for cross-border processing or transfers, we will take reasonable steps to use appropriate legal, contractual, technical or organisational safeguards.

11

How Long We Keep Information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for legitimate business, legal, accounting, security, dispute-resolution or regulatory requirements.

Different information may be kept for different periods. When personal information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, anonymise or securely dispose of it, subject to applicable legal requirements.
